I know (think?) I am not imagining this, but I read somewhere that Anky uses a small strap across the front of her saddle to stablize her hands and improve steady contact. I have a student that I think could benefit from one of these, but I don't know what it is called or where to get one...or even if I dreamed it lol! I am going nuts thumbing through piles and piles of H&H and other mags and can find nothing!
Does anyone know anything about it? I understand it is legal in competitions. Any info would be greatly appreciated. If you want, you can e-mail me at bagpiperblair@yahoo.com or just post here, whatever is the easiest for you.
Thank you in advance for your help!

try a pelham rounding. its pretty much the same thing then if it works get a fancy one for competitions. might save you a few quid first.

We call them F****** hell handles when riding the youngsters out for the first time

You say you ride with a balance strap? I had never thought of using one until I read about Anky using one. I have pretty steady hands after 50 years of riding, but now I am teaching again, I just wonder how they work and if you think they help you? Obviously you think they work well or you wouldn't be using one, but any advice about use would be appreciated"
Thanks
