So one of mine has been on box rest for the last 4 months - so two weeks ago we started hand walking and hand grazing, before turning in to a teeny tiny paddock which is getting bigger by the day.

We now do a hour hand grazing and no matter what e mails arrive giving good news bad news and anything in between it is all taken in a shrug shoulder I will deal with it later attitude.
6am grazing watching the birds and that slight chill that summer is coming to and end, listening to the munch munch munch, I tried several bits of grass today and yuk its bitter stuff.
But grub makes me smile as the grass she chooses is not the grass i think she would choose. The way her nose picks the exact bit she wants i find us fascinating.

I could sit/stand for ages just watching my neddies eat. I love the sound they make and the contented look on their faces. I agree about the way their nose picks out the best bits and goes all crinkly when they do it.:)

I would hate to add up the minutes I have spent just leaning on the fence watching and listening to the horses in the field !
