..you may take a gold star!

You weren't alone; we hacked out and chose to do a tootle round the village on the roads (as tracks are so rutted and frozen solid). Then went off-road for a teeny canter; it felt good.

However I found I had frozen solid when it came to dismounting:D Most embarrassing.

Poo-picking afterwards was much more warming...

How did you all do today?!

Um, rolled out of bed at about 9.30 am....!

Had brekkie, did the horses and poo-picked (they live out 24/7) and now really ought to do some school work, but that will have to wait until after dinner.... :D

Yup I rode two this morning. Schooled one which was ok, hacked my little mare, wrapped her exercise rug round me but was still frozen solid!

My BE jump training got snowed off.... :(

I was not taking the horsebox out once I had heard that a friend had spun their car on one of the main roads I would be taking so withdrew then the clinic was cancelled anyway.

I was out x-country running at 8.30 this morning, 9 miles so stayed nice and toasty. I chickened out of riding this afternoon though, way too cold for that!!

Well I walked but by 8.30 had daughters and friends horses on the lorry and I drove them to forest. They rode and me and friends mum walked. Was freezing but good way to start the day :)

I hacked out this am, flipping freezing on the hills but had a lovely ride. Changed straight into my muck boots on arrival home and feet warmed up in just a few minutes, I love these boots!!

I didn't ride first thing this morning, but I did ride at 7.30 yesterday morning ;). We went to the beach to do canter work today, so left home about 9.30 ish. However, it was much warmer here first thing than it was yesterday morning. :D

Usually I do but have changed my routine lately because its so cold first thing. I turn out and then ride in the afternoon after they are brought in. By that time they've loosened up and are ready to go.

However, if the wet weather returns it'll be back to riding early morning in case it's chucking it down later.

Went to dressage, hacked for 45 mins then dressage then 45 mins back...... So cold ........ Hacking jacket plus fleece and coat. So cold I felt like an ice block!

Rode one out at 7.30am on a general hack in the woods , the next one at 11am on the gallops and the third one at 2.30pm out around the village on road work. Inbetween mucked out ,walked the dogs and did some maintance in the yard. Oh I did get a chance for breakfast and some lunch.

Cold but kept warm doing the jobs.Felt really good.

I was out of bed at 7am and in work for 8am, washing windows outside, by hand, because there were no customers!
Rode yesterday morning though and it was bitterly cold!!!

I was outside 7-2 today :o Hacked 1 at 8am and went off to a lesson too. Got so hot in my lesson I had to take my coat off much to OH's disgust :D

Hacked out with a friend at 3.00 pm this afternoon - was frozen solid after and still not warmed up now!

The wierd thing is the outside thermometer said it was only 0c, but felt so much colder, although must have been correct as the troughs had started running again.

I planned to, but after a small accident that resulted in half of me falling in a water trough, (the fault of that fecking feral carthorse called Little Ted), I went back home at 8am to dry out.

Rode a little later but still freezing, at least it's dry though.

Yesterday morning yes :D where i am, this morning is the same weather wise as yesterday!!!

Rode out four lots, our gallops are on a big wide open hill so it is ALWAYS windy even if it isn't windy in the yard. And most of the time its a cold wind, so i put 3 pairs of socks on, 4 layers and off i went :D

It was frosty around the village on the grass. It felt a lot colder than it looked!

Me me me!! Was fab to get out at last - been a rubbish year for riding so far: snow, snow, snow, then flu, then holiday, so this morning was the first ride for a few weeks. Cold but no wind - nice fresh bouncy horse - a great horsey fix to start the day :)

I was mucking out at that time, and it was the day of 'The Big Dig'.... so I was toasty warm :D Four barrow loads later, I retrieved the pony from the paddock where she had been thoroughly silly, tacked up and went out through the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. We even had a short canter and it was lovely. (It's been very soft going lately)

I left my house at 6.50am for yard had horse loaded and on way by 7.50am for 10am lesson other side of Kent.

My lorry has no heating and blows cold air. Was freezing!

I took my TB long-reining round the roads - I set off freezing and after 15 minutes of doing the hills I was sweating! Got back to the yard to everyone commenting about how cold it was and I was cooking!! We have a few hills round here!

I was out hacking at 10am, in so many layers I couldn't really bend my arms! We were accompanied by Father NMT and our teeny weeny puppy, and pony was wonderfully behaved.... So gettting frozen to my very core was worth it!

Me! Hacked share mare fantastico this morning, then friends pony late this afternoon... I did go home inbetween to thaw out though!
