Really want to try a hanging cheek bit but unsure which to go for.

Horse is currently in a NS Verbindend as he has quite a fat tongue. He's v. sensitive in his mouth and I'm hoping the hanging cheek will give a little more stability and relieve tongue pressure.

Have been looking at the following options so far:

  • NS Tranz angled lozenge
  • Myler MB02
  • Cotswold Sport tongue saver

I'm also not sure what size ot go for. With loose rings I always go a bit bigger to avoud pinching but last night I measured his mouth and it was just over 5".

Does anyone have any recommendations/ experiences?

Thanks :)

I changed my horse from an eggbutt lozenge to a NS baucher, love it!

I went for his usual size bit, one thing I did notice though was the holes on the baucher are quite small so my 3/4inch cheekpieces don't go through easily!
