Hangleton Farm Worthing Update

Hi, could anyone out there update me on what is happening on this yard? I know it was split in half to sell, I know that there was talk of a rescue centre one side, but then heard that they were re-thinking this and might take liveries again. Any info would be gratefully received!

As far as I know, bottom half is now owned by WADARS local animal rescue.I think they may have kept one or two liveries but not sure. Top half has been sold but to continue to run as a livery yard and I think for a short time the Ellis' are still running it till they move to their new premises.

Definitely still a yard though.

Wow interesting, I went to Hangleton on a riding holiday when I was a child and it was wonderful. Anyone ever ride there 10/15 years ago and remember any of the horses? Off the top of my head there was Declan, a biggish possibly chestnut? Bubbles was a smaller chestnut with a stripe, Pudding was a coloured cob type? Daisy, brown mare?

Blimey, that's a name from the past. I used to ride there about 10/12 years ago as well Sheep, the horses I remember are; Saffron (nutty bay mare), Legend (beautiful dappled grey gelding), Barnaby (bay gelding) and a couple I don't remember the names of, a lovely Black Cob gelding with a white stripe and a beautiful Dun gelding also with a white stripe. Was a lovely yard with great facilities and hacking.

Declan was sold to someone who kept him there. Barnaby was also sold to a different girl who kept him there. I remember Raffles, Buttons, Bounty and Angel.

Yes I think Raffles was there when I went on my holiday - was he sort of strawberry roan?

A pony bit me as well - left a big lump on my arm for years after, can't remember his name though!

It was a gorgeous yard, unlike anywhere I'd been before (or since, really!) - it was immaculate, and the hacking was something else!

I also went on a riding holiday there and had so much fun, I remember how theyused a leaf blower instead of sweeping the yard.
The horses I remember are: Declan, Wispa, Honey, Pudding(I won the gymkhana on her), Bounty, Galaxy and there was a big grey mare who I cant remember the name of.
