Congratulations to Ron and Sara Williams whose foal born in 2007 by Depardieu out of a mare St Pr Donata K by Donnerhall was licensed at Verden in the Hanoverian Stallion Licenseing this is the first GB branded horse to be licensed in Germany and highlights the international breeding standards of the BHHS. It confirms the judges are not biased in favour of German bred horses. There were 100 stallions presented from an initial list of 800. Well done

Fantastic news - it looks like he was awarded Premium Stallion too!!

What fantastic news for everyone all round. CONGRATULATIONS to you all, especially on the colts making Premium as well.

Hangb I just have one query on the catalogue entry for the British branded colt:

[ QUOTE ]
Züchter : Ulrich Kriebel, , 29553 Bienenbuettel
Besitzer : Franz Bürmann, Bergstr.56, 21395 Tespe-Bütlingen

[/ QUOTE ]

Why is the breeder down as being German in the catalogue, as Bienenbuettel is in Germany? I thought the British breeders would have been put in there.

Not Hangb of course but I do know that it would be becuase the Hannoverian Verband regards the owner of the mare at the time of covering as being the breeder. However, it was foaled in the UK so therfore has a GB Hann brand.

The top licensed stallion prices (Euros) were:

330,000 - Premium, Fidertanz / De Niro.
320,000 - Premium, Danone I / Rouletto
200,00 - Lord Z / Weinberg
170,000 - Premium, St Moritz/ Wie Weltmeyer

The average licensed stallion price was 64,826 Euro with the lowest being 20,000

Nice to see the Trakehne stallions having an impact, Both the Connery and Herzensdieb colts licensed.

Great news for the British breeders though, they must be thrilled.

I have one in foal to Connery, he's stunning in the flesh!

I can confirm that the stallion DENI-DENI, who was given a premium stallion license in Verden recently, does have a GB brand, as he was born in Britain (Wales)

This is a picture of him as a foal.

2010 will bring us foals by SIR DONNERHALL, DAUPHIN & BONIFATIUS
