Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Still no foalie, but her udders and bag are still like they were last night (pointing outwards and absolutely rock hard and swollen from near her leg to her belly button). When I checked her at 9.30pm she had a yellowy creamy film on the opening of the udders but it had fallen off this morning. As soon as you touch the udders a cloudy liquid shoots out (they are that full) so I suspect the film was dislodged by her moving around.

I have not put her out yet as I decided to nip home and have some breakfast with my husband (he's still in bed

) before commencing my 'big muck out' of Hannah's stable. I have been deep littering her on Nedz Bedz for a week and a bit because she is so messy that it is the only way to keep a firm base for her and the foalie if it ever arrives.

Well, the saga continues I am afraid... (I'll get some photos when I get back). But more importantly, she is looking so shiny and healthy at the moment that I can wait as long as she needs

She is getting worse than Josie! I hope for your sake it decides to make an apprearance soon - at this rate it will come out wearing a saddle and bridle and performing advanced medium dressage!

The suspense continues!!!! Can't believe how she's kept us all on the edge of our seats for sooooo long. This foal is famous before it has even made an appearance!!

Not for Hannah! Making my eyes water thinking about delivering a foalie that big

I'm sure it can't be long now. Not to annoy you, but I was sort of hoping after she didn't foal on the 28th that she'd wait until March 12th now. That's my son's birthday.

Hubby told me to tell you that when a cow goes over, it's generally a bull she's carrying (no idea why) so I'm now changing my filly for a colt.

she's still hanging on to it then, poor girl must be the size of a house! Come on Hannah, we're all waiting anxiously!

That's should've said now. I'm opting for a colt.

Do you have any names in mind....posh name or stable names? What colour do you think baby will be. I have a dream of a black colt for some reason.

Could you imagine how annoyed I would be... but my Sainsburys Taste the Difference croissants are worth taking that risk for

Hmmm, names... for a filly I liked Thyme (but that's redundant now

) so it would be Hollinhurst ProThyme or Hollinhurst Set Thyme.

For a colt I like: Troy, Saracen, Apollo, Rupert, Sebastian (Seb)...

Not very good on the names front. Any other ideas???

It's going to be a March baby I am hoping.

This is going to be me next year hopefully, and the longer yours and Hanna's wait goes on, the more I'm thinking - "Why on earth would we do this???"

Can't wait!!!!

As long as she's happy and healthy and you get a happy healthy mini-me-Hannah - then good for you.

I'll keep my fingers crossed if you can persuade her NOT to keep her legs crossed!!

Good luck anyway!

bloody hell hannah what you playing at dear !! ....... DING DONG timer gone off , the bun is well and truely cooked ! ..... Definetly will be coming out black , and im gona say filly, did say colt at the start but think il go against the grain :P

I Dreamt of a black colt last night it had a star!

however my mare nutty had it and we was in america on holiday with our horses! lol

I actually did my prediction yesterday on the other thread
afternoon foal, black colt!!!

I ride a wonderful horse called Rupert - he's a gent and a lovely ride. Bit googly and sometimes sees monsters in hedges but genuine as you like. A good name I feel! Though I think Bus is a classic suggestion! LOL
