For those that dont know, Boss is on loan to Hartpury college as a stage 3/4 schoolmaster. I was at a total loss what to do with him when I retired him from eventing last summer and a very kind HHOer came to my rescue. They grey lump sadly disgraced himself one too many times and so, as a last resort, I contacted Talland and Hartpury.
He went last spring and they were v happy with him and he came home for the summer in great condition. He went back in September and they are so brilliant about keeping in contact. He's so happy there, in his absolute element with hoardes of students to give him fuss, they all love him.
Just spoke to the yard manager tonight and he said he's being great, they've even started jumping him again
Would recommend it to anyone stuck with a horse that can no longer compete who wouldnt be content being a happy hack.
