Well the winning streak had to come to an end at some point but had such a lovely day at Berkshire college all the same

Hattie was in a totally explosive mood and poor Sal86 and her horse very nearly got squashed as Hattie leapt in the air and plunged about!!!!!

But it was really nice to sit on a horse that didnt constantly need nudging and tickling with a schooling whip to get her going - infact i was having quite a bit of trouble holding her in her happy mouth bit

Got a 29 dressage which wasnt spectacular in her arena - would you believe it!!!!! the first 3 people that went in my arena got sub 30 dressage marks!! i was after the break and i think the judge realised her error and began marking more harshly - typical
wink.gif
as all the marks after the break were mostly mid to late 30s - anyway i was pleased with how she had gone and on to the SJ.

SJing was causing carnage and there are only about 5 clears in my section - i had a stupid pole down, just totally missed her coming into the planks and she crashed through the top plank totally forgetting to pick her tootsies up!!
blush.gif
She nearly ran over and pounced on several people in the SJ warm up too - really dont know what has happened to my lazy baggage of a horse!!

Finally onto the XC which is the important bit for me and Hatts, she gave me a good feel and most importantly trotted confidently and purposefully through the water which is just what we wanted
grin.gif
there was nothing there to test her at all but it was really nice to give her a confidence boosting easy run before our first PN

So we finished in 6th which would have been 4th if i hadnt given her the opportunity to have a pole down!! So very pleased, was a lovely relaxed atmosphere there and the stewards were brilliant, all in all had a really fun time - which is what this sport is all about after all!!

So its the IRF at Milton Keynes next week and then Twesledown PN so we'll see what happens

Fab well done, still a fantastic result! Good luck at the IRF and you'll be fine at twesledown, cant wait to hear how you get on

Well done, she looked very fresh today!
I saw most of your show jumping and she seemed to be flying, shame about the planks but the rest was lovely

I think there was something in the air today, Pops was fairly wild warming up for sj and xc - i had to trot into the sj warm up fences to keep any control

Well done and good luck for next week! x

Thanks everyone!!

will keep you posted

Sally - so sorry for nearly crushing you!!! really wasnt expecting her to leap around quite like that!!!

normally i can barely get her to walk purposefully back to the trailer let alone do spontaneous acrobatics!!

Well done! Saf and I saw your SJ, shame about the planks, they were on quite a tight turn, and we even saw you finish xc! Saf recognised your horsey from pics!
grin.gif

Well done again and we'll say "hi" if we get a chance next time!

Well done.
I was warming up with you AGAIN! in the dressage lol
Watched your sjing round, unlucky at the planks, but course both for INtro and PN caused a lot of problems.
Intro looked very easy, but like you say a nice confidence boost for her before Tweseldown.
Vxx

LOL you didnt see her explode spectacularly in the dressage warm up then??
blush.gif
very embaressing - it was like sitting on a time bomb!!
tongue.gif
i think she was telling us yesterday that it was time to move up to PN - she was finding it all too easy and instead of engaging her brain she was pratting about!!
