Hi

Ive been trying to sell a really sweet little horse the last month that will do the above, but with no luck.

Ive always said on the phone shes a sweet heart but not bound for Badders but have had so many people coming to see her with the hope of finding a cheap super star!

I just want her to go to a lovely home where she can be enjoyed cuddled and loved...

so where do you look??

Im not asking loads for her and would loan her out to the right home first.
In 2 weeks Im due to have a knee op so ideally would like to place her by then or she will be turned out with my eventers.

Which web sites to you all use?

thanks is advance

I bought my mare off Horsemart but sold my foal in 24 hours on DragonDriving - excellent web site - £5 for as long as the car/trailer/animal is for sale....

What sort of Riding Club activities will she do and at what level? Have you stated this clearly in her advert? For example: "Happy to jump courses up to about 2'6", and will do an obedient test at Prelim level, getting 62% last time out".

Ive been using horsemart...

yep said she is popping round 2'3' she is only 5yrs and a little green would wobble round a prelim test but again said this and priced accordingly....just wondered what other sites are good

I've been looking for an allrounder/RC type for ages. Something that can do a bit of everything, and be reliable and safe yet fun.

I've mainly been doing a lot of word of mouth advertising, and check Horse Mart and Horse Deals fairly regularly.

I don't look on horse quest as you can't narrow the search much, and I don't look on H&H much either as I find the search options a bit unpredictable. I've just been to see one that I saw on the noticeboard at the yard where I have lessons (which is also a show centre and livery yard). Maybe try making some posters up.

up here we have scothorse and scottish equestrian = both have a good selection of low level horses - that's how i found my mare cheap ans she's def not badders bound lol!...not sure for down south tbh...

I found mine on horsemart, but I was also surgically attached to H&H, local RC websites and horsequest when looking! Have you contacted your local riding clubs? They may well know of someone looking, lots also have an ads section on their website or newsletter.

I suppose if she is 5 and green, then people are thinking she might be capable of doing greater things when she is older and more experienced, hence the wrong type of calls you have been having. Plus a lot of people in the happy hacker/local RC type market might be looking for something a little more experienced and older. How exactly have you worded the rest of the advert?

Sitewise, from a buyer's point of view I find Horsedeals really easy to search - and of course the advantage from a seller's view is that the more effectively buyers can search the site, the more likely they are to find your ad if it is relevant to them.

Ive been very honest in the advert just saying she is a sweetie but not a comp horse. Stated what we have done with her so far and that she needs bringing on in the school although is perfect to hack etc.

Ill try horse deals as never tried that site!!

I tend to look at horsedeals, horsequest and horsemart. Horsequest does tend to favour comp types but has a good quality of horse, rather than horsemart which you have to spend a while sifting through the rubbish.

IMHO - Mum and I are looking for a Happy hack (for her).

under 7 - no go unless personal reccomendation/ saint
needs schooling - not something we would consider as mum is a 'happy hacker' and doesnt do sand!

just i think these things might be putting off the hackers and bringing you the competition calls.

p.s. if I had room I would be calling for her to be my other RC horse! ;)

Thankyou is interesting hearing your comments.

Although she is only 5yrs she is a real sweetie to hack, I know of a few older which can be a little tricky in fact Bella has had to lead a few past monsters n the roads!!...Im thinking she wants to stay at our yard all winter!
