Anyone use this as a feed? I have 2 little ponies, one prone to being a fatty but has never had laminitis and an old girl (28) who had seedy toe last year.

Do you think they would benefit from this? I just feel it would be more cost effective as I currently buy biotin and veteren supplement anyhow and this appears to have it all in!

It's so easy to use just 'what you're used too',and I feel I ought to come up with the times!!

I use it for all my ponies, one is a lamanitic, one a fatty and others a good weight, they all thrive off it.. :-) think its great for your reasons above that its a complete feed with added supplements...

Could I just ask,how much do you feed? Do you use it as a complete diet?

Mine live out.....like everyone I've got little grass left anyhow and the oldie girl has mobility problems if stood in. I give them soaked hay in fieldas a forage. I was planning on giving them 2 small scoops of happy hoof in a morning (not the big roud scoop, the half size one). And then when the grass starts growing I tend to bring them in by day and out by night on as little grass as possible. I really am lami aware and would like to prevent any problems.

The fatty,is in work anyhow and I have to ration her hugely (welsh sec b) and the oldie is used as a learning pony for my toddler son,so not a lot asked of her anyhow.....I'm more aware of her seedy toe really, that I don't want to battle with again!!

All my horses are on it too - they all love it. We have one with laminitus, 2 fattys and one 'normal' all seem to thrive on it.
Would defiantely recommend

Have used Falcon Equine Fibre Care in the past for a little fatty that i used to have. Its was great, gave him a great coat and it had all the vits, mins and a hoof supplement in it already. It was also a complete feed and you could feed a good amount and so ment that he didnt have to be hungry all the time just because he was on a diet unlike me at the moment

. I rang them once, due to the molasses thing - got the then vet and the company nutritionist talking to each other on the phone. Turns out it was all perfectly acceptable and the vet was happy with it, and this was for a pony who got lami from carrots! Sugar caused it

He was on Happy Hoof for a couple of years and if he needs feed again he'll be back on it. We have been using basic sugarbeet for the last few months and he's been fine

I love it. I use it on my 16.2 Friesian who is prone to tubbiness. He goes really well on it and his coat shines like coal.

Both my connemaras and my shetland are on Happy Hoof, have been for years, they just get half a scoop with carrots twice a day. I have never had any problems with any of them and they are all good doers.

Great stuff, as other posters, used on my laminitic fatty and I like it because it has other things in it eg grass nuts.
