Does anyone use their shavings or sawdust?

Just had a very reasonable quote on 50 bales, but am wondering what the quality is like, and whether the bale comes up light?

We currently use thoroughbred shavings and use approx. a bale a week per horse, but they are turned out most days and relatively clean, so was wondering how these would compare.

I used both the sawsand and the shavings. Loved the sawsand on the base of the bed as its very absorbant. Found the shavings quite "big" but also alot in the bale.
