Happy Icelandic horse video!

Couldn't resist filming my Icelandic this morning - he has Cushings and cannot go out in the field at all when it is frosty, so he hasn't been out since last Sunday. Last winter we nearly lost him to laminitis, so it is great to see him enjoying himself - You'd never guess he was the oldest of the bunch and fast approaching 20.

Way to go! Cushing's is a bngger and seeing ponies happy and enjoying life in spite of it is truly heartwarming.

Thanks everyone - he really is special as he was diagnosed with Cushings 2 years ago and was so brave when he had laminitis really badly. I love him to bits

I've had him 10 years. He came over from Iceland when he was 9. I was almost pleased when he tested positive for Cushings as at least I know what I am up against and why he kept getting unexplained laminitis. He is on pergolide for his Cushings and has special imprint shoes and although he can never be ridden again, he has a very happy life!

My heavy draft horse was imported from Russia when he was 4, and I have a Clydesdale x and a gypsy cob - so quite a league of nations
