In all the stress of Beau hurting her eye (rode her this morning, still only partial vision but no spookiness or anything and worked really nicely) Lottie's winter MOT has kind of been un-noticed so for anyone that has seen my posts about little old Lottie and remembers her pride issues when she got knocked down from herd leader and kicked, or the stress of her having pyometra, here's her MOT report.

No symptoms of Pyometra remain (not cureable so must still have it but not bad enough to display symptoms which means no significant discomfort)
Stiff with the arthritis but no indication of actual pain.
Still able to lie down/get up/roll unaided (though she does roll downhill possibly on purpose!)Good weight going into winter, no heavier please for her joints but preferable to previous ill poorly skeleton (result of pyometra)
Cushings appears to still be low grade, no treatment required just watch temperature and weight
If I need to PTS for financial/time/family commitments, the vet will not judge me given that she was diagnosed with a terminal illness 18 months ago BUT as well as she looks he thinks she will happily get through winter with some slight discomfort but no suffering and enjoy the warmth and companionship of next summer. He descriped it as 'gratifying' to see her so well! Given how ill she got 18 months ago he should be far more than gratified, he saved her life from an incurrable illness!!!

Oh and she is now boss of the herd again, including 2 new additions and my sisters mare who rocked her confidence kicking her previously.

No point really except I have posted about her from time to time and I am sooo pleased that she can crack on with vets blessing. She's not in work as such but potters about with friend's kids occassionally and this xmas will be the 17th consecutive xmas day that I have ridden her. Still on track for 20 in a row!!
