some of you may have read a few posts about my old jumping pony Lottie. well, i might be having her back!
i put her out on loan 2 years ago to a girl who wanted to learn more about jumping and compete. it was a bit iffy because lottie was never a true childs pony. she was brought by a friend from a sale as a first pony and put her in hospital. so i brought her. she has never been 'sane' but my lord could she jump. she was 138cm lovely welsh c. so after a good few years of hard hard work. we won lots of bsja and went all over the place but i out grew her and decided to put her on loan as an adults pony, as she was getting on and still not safe for a child. but when a good friend asked me if her 8 year old niece could try her, i wasnt keen and made sure she done it at her own risk ect and what a surprise! i watched my little crazy pony carry this fantastic 8 year old round a big course and lottle really looked after her and behaved. i was a balling my eyes out! in just a few years this little pony had completely changed. it was lovely to watch. anyway, she went on loan to her niece and done fantastically. have so many pictures of the two of them sent in emails to me. was lovely. they then asked to buy her and i agreed.
anyhow, a few years on, Lottie is getting too old to do the big jumps and has no jockey. so they have approached me asking if id like her back to retire from competing. YAY! so i get to have my little girl back for a happy retirement.
she will now be a light hack and will soon retire. she has had a busy hard life and at the grand old age of 20. her times come to be a field ornament. i get my girly back!!!
sorry, very self indulgent.
