This morning I decide to do some jumping on Meg. It doesn't happen often as Iam aways rushing with the time and the kids do come first. My mum is my helper, but she is often at work too, but today we had some spare time! I guess we have just been a happy hacker over recent weeks, hence the lack of jumping.
Mum puts up a double, a high crosspole (our nemisis!) a parallel and an upright. Meg pops over each jump, making it feel incrediably easy. She should be rusty, but actually she is just the same, I should be rusty, but I have trust in her to jump!! I can't see a stride for *hit - but my mum thinks I can as I never missed a beat - its Meg not me I promise!!
Anyway, mum whacks up the parallel (off a dogdey angle - normally I would panic) and we just 'pop' over it. I smiled so much it made my mouth hurt!!
We measured the jump, back rail at 3ft6'' - not MASSIVE but plenty big enough, and jumping in 'cold blood' is always harder for me. Spread wasn't big either but mum has built it quite ''airy'', so it did look big!! Iam still smiling about it, Meg is so chilled, Iam sure she would teach people to jump as she is so trustworthy. She really is my eyes (have poor sight).
And on another happy note, Iam off to London on Saturday - train journey and all, to not only meet up with my brother, his fiancee, I will also see his new house AND go to the theatre to see War Horse - iam so looking forward to it!!! Yippppeeeee
Have a cold lemonade on me.
