Just so happy for my old ID. His shoes came off in the spring, along with my WB's. (they were only shod in front) The ID had acute laminitis last summer, nearly lost him. Very flat thin, tender soles. Wednesday, the trimmer was out and uttered those magic words - "there's concavity in the front feet". I could have cried, I was so chuffed. All the work has been worth it, the boots/pads, the restricted grazing, watching the weather and checking pulses! Not to mention poo picking, must be thousands of barrowloads by now. Nice word, concave. :) Must go and clear the paddock!

Good to read. My tbs fronts came off in May - it's not been plain sailing so far, so good to know it can come right in the end :)

You'll get there. It seems as if not much is happening, but it is, inside the foot. It's amazing really, how they heal themselves given the right conditions. Good luck.
