Happy Xmas everyone . . . . and what have you forgotten??

Sat at work bored and green with envy that most people are tucked up in bed but just realised I have forgotten to buy the following for Christmas lunch;

Lemons - to go with the smoked salmon
Chutney - to go with the cheese selection
Mint Matchmakers - cos they're my fav chocs

Oh well too late now !!!

Anyone else forgotten Christmas essentials ???

only 3 hours to go beofre can get back into bed!! also forgot the fact i was working and bought lime and ginger ale to make vodka mules and then realised cant drink them!

Happy Christmas. Sorry you are both having to work.
Funnily enough I'm not cooking Christmas dinner so havent had to worry. The only thing I have forgotten is a silly pressie for OH for when we go round to our friends this afternoon. Well I didnt forget because he only told me last night I needed to get one so Im now having to think hard! I will probably wrap up something he already has!

also forgot my sisters present, luckily mum rescued me and took a tenner of me and gave me a dog tiffany bracelet (which doesnt fit her

I haven't forgotten anything, but I seem to have mislaid my sanity

The kitchen is too hot and there is too much domestic stuff to do (I usually go to the yard whilst hubby takes care of all this - what was I thinking this year?), there are kids crying, I'm responsible for the Chrismas pudding arriving on time and my poor confused dogs have to stay in the kitchen because they would get excited and knock kids over! I want my house back - its usually just me, him and the dogs

I was to meet a friend at the yard lunch time 'ish for a ride, OH would find some footy on the tv this afternoon and when we were home together, all would be peaceful. Daughter is here, but she just fits into it all. Then I got a text to say that son, daughter-in-law and baby grandson will be coming over again about lunchtime. Thats all lovely, but I want to go and ride my mare

I texted back and said 'do come, people will be here and I'll be here at some point, but I must go to the yard too'!

I will never win an award for wonderful mother to adults and grand children (although I did a great job when mine were little), but I could win one for horse/dog owner
