Does anyone have any experience dealing with these? New mare has two nice weals on her mouth and a nice dose of conjunctivitus in her eyes, OH is speaking with vet now but he has already advised worming again with in invermectin (although only wormed 3 weeks ago with pramox (Moxedectin + Praziquantel)) which is said to also combat them.

At a real loss, never dealt with this before and worried as to how to combat it.

Sorry can't help but having Googled it, it looks most unpleasant :(.

I hope you get it sorted and the wounds heal nicely.

And apparently its habronema  me and my spelling, its getting worse every day!

Thank you Quirky, luckilly they are inside her lips but I am really suffering with anything topical that can be applied to the mouth area, so sticking with salt water and vaseline atm, not an effective method as whatever I put on, its off within minutes I'd well imagine. The flies are predictably interested and a sideline problem with swelling on her fetlock means she needs to be out as much as possible :( fiddlesticks!! :)
