hard lump on pastern

Just noticed today a hard lump on my horses foreleg, quite big, on pastern a bit above the coronet band. Am panicking that its ringbone but would have thought I would have noticed it before. Isnt hot and doesn't appear to hurt when pressed.
Any ideas anyone. It feels boney.

i'd have said ringbone, but that's not necessarily anything to panic about if it's not hot and horse not lame. i'd keep an eye on it and see...

More likely to be sidebone if its near the coronet.

He is always slightly lame as has navicular but doesnt seem any worse.Seems strange for it to appear so quickly if its ringbone, sidebone, but there has been no improvement so far so a vet visit is pending !
