My mare is a big cob, she is very forward and gets very strong the problem is that she has got such a hard mouth. Sometimes she's not to bad and doesn't use her strength against me but other days she gets so strong and no amount of pulling can stop her. I dont want to have to constantly pull because I know this will just make her mouth more dead. She is currently ridden in a hanging cheek snaffle. Is there anything I can do to help this problem?

How is she with your seat aids? The inevitable answer to your question is that it is a schooling issue. I'd be inclined to time teaching her to slow down / stop through your seat, and work on the half halt also with focus on your seat aids.

Hi, my youngster started trying to head for home at a much faster pace then I wanted. Every Time he got fast I turned him around and went the other way. I only had to do it three times and he got the idea.

Kineton nose band, I ride by haffy in one with a hanging cheek snaffle, transfers the pressure from mouth to nose if/when he ignores me works for us

Change the bit for one that acts differently , the hanging cheek snaffle raises in the mouth as you use the reins taking the pressure if the tongue .
It's difficult to advise on bitting without more details but I properly would try a Dr Bristol first and perhaps a Waterford .
Kineton noseband work best on horses that put there heads down in fast work is that what happens if not thats unlikely to be the answer .
Horses like you describe are often best if you rotate through a few bits say three or four on a regular basis .
It's of course at base a training issue and the training issues need to addressed but getting right bit is important as well.
