..Hard times are most certainly kicking in.
requests for intakes up and growing all the time...funds...well lets no go down that road.
Feed costs up, vet costs up..fuel..another road that we won't travel...
where's it going to end?
EMW are facing having to cut back on intakes, facing less attendance at auctions/fairs....hard times indeed.

Photo show. cheap to do; maybe a £1 per photo entry?
Sponsor a Horse, the sponsor pays £X per month by DD and gets bi-monthly newletter "from their horse" about how lifes going .
Video dressage competition, runs like the photo show.

Our local Waitrose has a scheme that splits £1000 a month between local charities.

"Waitrose Community Matters

Every month this branch will donate £1000 between three local good causes that you choose.

How does it work?
At the checkout you'll receive a token, which you then place in the box of the good cause you'd most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive. You can also nominate good causes to be considered for the scheme in the future. Just pick up a leaflet in store for more information"

Might work if you have a local Waitrose. I know ours has supported RDA and a local dog rescue.

EMWsanctuaries i know how your feeling. Isn't it frightening.
I am turning away on average 4 horses a day now. I hate doing it, i give them numbers to ring but they get no help there either.
We are takeing in a 6 year old thoroughbred that head shakes to the extreme of kicking itself in the head as a last chance for it, but the healthy ones we just can't and i hope they find homes.
I wonder how things are going to go, its frightening.
I try to help owners but many don't realise that we are in need ourselves.
