Hardcore / rubble path ideas -help!

We are looking for cheap / free hardcore for our paths this winter, as we are on clay and struggling!
We are located in East Yorks and im struggling with ideas on who to contact.

Is it realistic to find some cheap, or will it all be ££££?

Also anyone else on clay, and if so how do you manage your pathways, as ours go so so deep in winter!

We use road plainings from a recycling yard, only cost about £9.00 per tonne, in fact we used them as a base for a stable, compacted them down and put nice thick rubber matting on top, works a treat

You should put geotextile like Terram underneath then road plannings on top. That will stop it moving and the weeds breaking it up.
