Your experiences would be very much appreciated,
My friend owns four acres of field, we have two horses and one pony on it. She had a very good building with internal stables which is a huge bonus.
We were chatting today about making the area around the building into either hard standing paddocks or woodchip paddocks, meaning when it's wet they are not churning up the main field.
Even split into two (which it would have to be as big lad and pony don't get on) there would be enough for them to mooch around, stretch their legs and eat their haynets in the fresh air. They would then be stabled overnight.
So can anyone tell me if you've done this, what you've done, costs, how you find it works etc etc
Many thanks (oh and any pics would be great)
