Can anyone recommend a decent harness please ? When I walk them on their own I just have a slip collar, they walk to heel and after the first 50yds if I'm walking them one at a time I can walk them off the lead. If I take all 3 out together though they get a bit excited and pull for the first few minutes.
I have the usual Pets at home type but wondering if there's anything a bit more comfortable that I don't have to spend half an hour untangling before I can actually put it on Thank you :smile3:

Before you splash out on three harnesses ,what about using a coupler on two dogs ,attached to one end of a k9 trading lead and the third dog on the other end of the training lead.
,ie this lead is about 2 m long with a hook at each end..one end has two dogs on yr coupler and other end has one dog.you control all three with one hand..no tangling.
I often walk two dogs on a k9 lead, especially in a confined area. Eg mall or market when I want them up close at heel.

Harnesses are to teach dogs to pull.
Slip leads need to be individually controlled.
What you need is a double slip AKA half check or martingale collar.

That looks a kinder option. Its annoying as they only pull until I get to the top of my road - literally a dozen houses. It's not even a particularly strong pull but I don't like it. On their own you don't even know they're on the end of a lead.

The Perfect Fit harness from Dog Games Ltd is a great harness, padded in the right areas and very adjustable.

Most modern harnesses are not to teach the dog to pull, they are to provide a more comfortable way of having control over your dog, without damaging their neck or strangling them. A harness with the top ring over the shoulders rather than mid back is better, as having the ring set further along the back IS a harness designed to use for pulling ( Canicross/ sleding etc). One with a ring at the front as well is even better, as that really helps to encourage the dog to walk in balance by your side.

My Daisy wears this, she never pulls in it

TTouch harness, it has been brilliant with our Rottie pup who has a tendency to spin around the whole walk and pull.
It has a ring on the chest and 3 on the back, and we use it with a double ended lead :)
