i was led to believe that said college was the top agricultural college in england, not a training place for eco warriors!! lol- i have a friend there and have been around the place myself as my son was considering going there but he went to Gelli Aur instead.

Definately the top ag college!!

All uni's have to have a diverse range of courses to survive - and definately wouldn't say there were many eco-warriors there when I was there - just lots of farmers!!!

I'm a local (so by rights should be even ruder than Rosiefronfelen) but besides the odd rude/inconsiderate sod which you would find anywhere, I've never met an 'eco-warrior' and I would never say a bad word about the college (thinking of doing a post-grad there actually).

It's no different to any other uni just more farmers than normal ;).....and hey if they can manage to deal with the local chavs and busybodies then they deserve a medal....I can't!

Even Welsh students can't out drink Harpers either....spent three years serving them breakfast the morning after the balls.....very entertaining and made me want to go to one!

i know many ex students from Ciren who have gone on well, and certainly not all with "rich daddies"!! i knew the late principal many years ago, and ordinary farmer from Tenby so each to their own- by the way, my friend at Harpers is welsh and drinks like a fish!

Brother is a local, think he would certainly endorse the drinking ability of some of the students (he considered letting rooms to them but thought better of it having seen some of them on nights out:D), definitely quite a few with rich daddies though, or would imagine that is the only way they can afford to drive round in 4 x 4s, but think generally the same mix as any other college.

Eco warriers? Pah. You should see some of the ones at Brack. The Wildlife Conservation students are mental! Living, breathing, dreadlocked stereotypes.
