Has anyone harrowed thier field yet?
With the dry days we have been having (over 7 days now) the muddy pit has now dried out lovely and is nice and dry and crumbly. Ponies are being moved in the next few days whilst the field is tended to, ie harrowed and rolled. Hoping to get a decent cut of hay this year......its 3acres and has 2 ponies and 1 TB mare grazing on it. How long do you think it will be best to leave the horses off it before they can go back on after its been harrowed? i was thinking late april - mid may time for them to come back as only renting the other grazing.......
