Hiya! Had the saddle fitter out for my awkward tb (tiny rib cage & big wither) as current kent and masters saddle just isn't right, saddle fitter agreed it's no good.

She suggested Harry dabbs saddle with a thoroughbred tree, have any of you got one of these or know a fitter who will stock them? they sound really nice.

Another option is to have one made to measure for him as I'm fed up with saddles not fitting, have any of you had your tbs saddles made and could you recommend anyone who is willing to travel to Bristol area? It's a long shot but worth a try as I need to get it right.

Thanks for reading my essay!

I loved my Harry Dabbs. Horse loved it. Service was excellent. Saddle was just pure luxury so comfy. Give them a call they will be able to help with a fitter. Can't wait for my new filly to get her first Dabbs. Cannot fault them. Worth every penny.

Will def give them a ring, I like the fact they worked with the thoroughbred rehabilitation centre to come up with a saddle :)

Harry Dabbs was involved with Jaguar saddles a good few years ago.
Jaguar however have decided that they no longer wish to be associated with the Equestrian world and have ceased making saddles altogether.
Harry Dabbs will still service/refit the Jaguar saddles though.

Thank you so much. I have a made to measure Jaguar dressage saddle in the shed, horse is retired now but what a comfortable saddle. The downside is the weight, absolute ton and takes some lifting onto a big horse.

I've got a Harry Dabbs Avant, its a lovely saddle but unfortunately doesn't fit my horse anymore so I'm selling it to fund a new one!
I wouldn't say mine is particularly heavy, its a jump saddle but not a monoflap.
Not sure what tree it is on though.

Was it made to measure for your horse? This is what I would like to do!

Yep :) My saddle fitter templated his back and sent it off to them and they made it up for him, she told them as well that he would need a drop panel which they did. It cost the same as one off the peg too (plus it was last years price :):) ) I have had it a week and have been xc schooling and SJ in it and I absolutely love it! They made it with gold piping round the seat and on the back of the cantle too for only £50 extra (you can have any colour) plus there are three different options of types of leather.

Sounds amazing! I can't wait for him to have a new saddle :)

I tried a couple of Harry Dabbs on my mare - she hated them. Wouldn't canter and was extremely backwards in trot (this is the opposite of her behaviour normally - she'll pull you into canter and whizz off). Didn't even attempt to jump in it. The dressage was also awful on her.
I then put a barnsby on her straight after and away we went - as normal!
