Link doesn't work but the Harry Hall hats aren't pony club approved that's all! So you can't wear them to pony club events/rallies. Not sure where you stand if you aren't a PC member but go to any open pony club shows with them on, I presume you wont be covered by insurance if it is due to their negligence and you didn't wear the correct hat

Otherwise they are just as good as any other hat IMHO. Mine still looks as good as it did when I got it and fits really well

Local shows usually only specify that the hat must reach current standards which the Harry Hall hat does. Some places specify that the hat must be kitemarked, which for some reason HH have not had done. Thia really annoyed me as Ollie has an odd shaped head & it's the only one that fits him well but he had to get a new one when he joined PC.

Meets European standards but don't carry the British Safety standard kite mark.

So you can compete in it most of the time but anywhere that requires it to have a kite mark to you can't. So you couldn't use it at a riding school or at the pony club. Am also not certain about affiliated eventing. But apart from those three you are fine.

I have one two and love it. Having done some reading up on the various safety standard in the past I am happy with it.
