Not read any of the books. Have vaguelly watched the films at home (once each) but not with much attention! The new one I got bored with and went to bed!!
I dont understand the fuss TBH. The acting in the HP films is always atrocious as well!
I have seen all of the films but read none of the books.
Personally I love them and there is nothing wrong with the acting in my opinion. Child actors have to start somewhere in life. I mean take a look at some of our most famous deceased actors and actresses and see some of the drivel they started in and how bad their acting was.
As a former media student I watch a film with a critical eye.
However generally speaking with the HP films there is that much going on in the background and the storyline to follow as well that I don't find myself critically analysing each actor and their lines.
That said there have been a few moments that I have wished lines had been said with a bit more meaning behind them.
However I do believe that the naievity that some of the child/teenage actors/actresses show in the films makes the film seem more authentic and as though you were actually watching students within a school rather than watching a film about them.
I would love to read the books though if they are better than the films because from what I have seen so far JK has an enviable imagination

If you haven't read them or seen the films, you won't understand the fuss! Try reading them, they are very good. She has the most amazing imagination.

I dont have any interest in wizardry (sp!) or maybe I would read the books. They must be good because of all the hype and the amount of money she has made from writing them, but HP just doesnt inspire me..
I think the films are rubbish but i Love the books.
In the films its not the acting that is bad its just the over all appearnce of the film and IMO if i hadnt have read the books id be pretty lost watching the films
The books are great, her stories are so imaginative, how she manages to link them all together is amazing
