Did anyone go today? I kept my eyes peeled for Mat B, but didn't spot him.

It was HEAVING over 65 in the British Novice.

I stayed for class 1 & 2 and left at 3pm! Dread to think when the other clases were going to finish.

Had traumatic experience of driving through Gloucester on the way there, as my sat nav is stupid. Then on the way home got pulled over by the police & quite rightly so, as my front numberplate had dropped off and my numberplate didn't match the trailer either opppps!!!

lol its still going on now!
im at hartpury doing a degree so watched a fair bit of it today, and helped my mate warm up for discovery..
bloody heaving!- most of classes were qualifyiers i think so probs why
how did u get on?
hope the unafil isnt as busy for me 2moro lol

3rd in the BN and 10th in the 1m open

Was very pleased with neddy, as we weren't even going that fast.

There were loads of people watching too - Still I guess with 65 competing that means lots of bored people!

Still I was most impressed that there was a bar!! I might get more volunteers in the future! Just have to get neddy jumping the 1.05m for next meeting and 1.10m for the xmas show.

the bar lol - i know brilliant for luring OHs into helping!!
well done - 3rd the the BN thats ace considering how many were in it as well!!! - wat horse were u on, may have seen u..

Warm up was in the same as prior years - half of the small indoor school. Then you get called to the collecting ring, which is weeny but had one jump in it (roughly 4 horses at a time). Then you get called and wait in the corridor and finally let in.

Downside is that you can only see one competitor jump unless you go into the stands whilst you are waiting. So important to walk the course at Hartpury!

Arena is lovely and huge, barely know you are indoors. No tight turns, like an indoor summerhouse for Glos peeps!

Shame they aren't doing more dates.

Might add I only had a J2O at the bar.....

Horse was Paladin - an Iron grey with a few brown bits and a lovvvverrlly pink bridle that I force him to wear!!!

Also seen dumped on one of the very nice girls in the collecting ring whilst I walked the course.

Students were ace, really friendly and lovely. Actually I had a great time and spoke to lots of random people (being Billy-No-Mates).

I haven't been to Gracelands, so cannot comment, however Summerhouse is great when you can warm up in the indoor arena. Although the loos are terrible.

Hartpury's new arena is pretty special! There were also loo's everywhere and they were clean and nice (this is very important!).

Food looked good, bar, plenty of seating, ideal for long suffering people that get dragged with you.

Hartpury is now the type of place where you no longer need a lorry, as why sit in your living when there are better facilities inside.

Aww wish I was home now and not at uni

sounds amazing, and congratulations on your placing! Is this the horse that was lazy earlier in the summer?

Gracelands...well think of Summerhouse's warm up indoors and half it! Then the actual arena think of Summerhouse indoors but narrower and a worse surface

However Gracelands build much better courses, don't faf around with building them and make sure they get through people at a decent rate! + the people are lovely too

lol bless gracelands apparantly its a bit smarter now!
I was at Hartpury yesterday and I jumped at 10pm! my poor horse was dying for its bed by the end of it.
I also had a traumatic experience getting there, I drove in my car as my horse's owners drove her there separately and my sat nav took me down a tiny country lane in the middle of nowhere then I decided to drive down a pothole, completely broke my tyre, so had to wave down random cars that came past to try and help me lol. oh dear!

Yes - starting to think sat navs are untrustworthy!

Glad you got there ok (probably in plenty of time too!)

Please tell me that was the 1.25m open at that time of night???

yes it was the 1.25m! I got there while the 1.05m was on at half 5 so I had to sit through hours of endless jumping haha.

Apparantly the man who fixed my tyre only stopped as I was wearing white jodphurs. lol.

Well done! I think you may have just made up my mind for me about where to go when Hand and Hartpury have SJ on same day in Dec though... (assuming Hand does not have a bizzare schedule as it's not on their webby yet!)
