Not the average day job for a Cocker is it? :)

Oh I needed a Harvey fix! :D Love him all grown-up and working...though with the first photo, in my mind he's saying "Muuuuummm....why are those black and white springer spangles wayyy bigger than a cocker puppy like me...?" :D

He is a fabulous cow dog, you know. Surprises me.

He goes behind the cows, barks at them. They rise and he barks at them until they walk on. He's awesome!

They're not that far from home and we're not really asking him to do anything, he just does it. I simply take him with me as part of his daily exercise....kills two birds with one stone.

The collie, on the other hand, likes to single out the odd cow (always a whiter one for some reason) and then proceeds to charge up and down the field at her, flinging herself in the cow's face repeatedly...often turning them the wrong way!

ETA: If I open a boarding kennel/home sitting service I might just have to "set on" the boarding dogs too! LMAO! They could go home with a "scrap book of their activities". LOL

:D Definite proof that spangles are superior in all ways! Clever boy...I can see a remake of Babe in his future.... "Harvey: The Cow-Spangle" (Cow Spangled Banner for the US audiences :p) :D

Love the scrapbook idea.. "what I did on my holidays..." :D

PMSL! Star Spangled Banner! :D

I thought the scrap book was a good idea. A sort of "what I did on my jollies whilst you were away on holiday" little booklet.

Alot of local dogs might not get access to farm land...or even see the outside of the garden fence. Obviously I'd not let them off but a long line and a camera can still be a good tool!

Isn't it funny Slinky? I would love mine to come back a little muddy and farm smelly as I'd know they'd been out and had some fun in our absence.

Problem is I can just hear the owners posting on a certain forum about how smelly and dirty their dogs came back! :p  ;)

I reckon proof of walkies in a picture card/booklet as well as a nice bathed dog would probably go down a little better.

He's a spaniel-of-all-trades :D

The place I took my previous dogs to printed off pics the first time they stayed there and put little speech bubbles on them "Caffrey didn't want to share his ball with Chloe", "Murph thinks he can outrun the greyhounds" that sort of thing and it was a nice touch - you should def do something along those lines, it really made me think they'd had a fun stay too.

Good boy Harvey! Spangles love to work.....then again they love to sleep on the bed, eat and get stinky too. Proper all round digs!!
