These are pictures of Harvey's mystery lump. At the end of Feb Harvey developed a lump in his throat. After a couple of weeks his nose started to run. We rand the vet and they advised turning him out so he would keep his head down and hopefully go down. Unfortunately it didn't work so we took him to the vets. They scoped him for 2 hours and still non the wiser. Vet had recorded him being scoped so she said she would show the senior vet. Senior vet rang me and we put him on bute and antibiotics. All this time Harvey has shown no sign of being poorly. He is a decent weight ( not show condition ) for a yearling. His temperature isn't raised and he is such a happy pony, always running about and playing with Ash. Well he still isn't better so he has now got to go to Rossdales ( Newmarket ). Feeling pretty crap about it to be honest as he was bought to replace Oscar who we had PTS ( 7 months old ) last December.

Anyone got any idea what it could be?
Pictures really don't show how big it is.

I am no expert but has your vet tested for thyroid probs? The lump looks almost like a goitre which can ocur with thyroid prob. Harvey is young to have thyoid probs but it does happen. I would ask for thyroid function tests before going into more invasive tests. These are a simple bloodtest. The lump also looks to be in approx right area for an equine thyroid.
