Has Any one Tried RWYM?

Looking at improving my riding as I am a stuck at the same level at the moment and have a local instructure that uses this method of teaching. Not many others about as I am a bit remote. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and what they thought.

I've read a couple of her books and found them quite useful. I know there are several people on here who have attended one of her clinics. You might get a better response if you headed your post Ride With Your Mind (Mary Wanless)!

I have/do! I was also stabled at Mary's yard for almost a year too. I use a lot of the techniques to this day - the core stability information is something I had never been told of before, and, for someone like me with a typical SJ riding position, it REALLY helps protect my back! I take some of Mary's teachings and mix it with standard Classical learnings and it works for me. For sure I am a MUCH more aware rider now, I constantly think about how I am sitting, how that is translating to the horse, and I also understand a horse's engagement far more. Have a go!

Aha! Thank you, sorry I have heard a little about it, not something I have investigated, is it similar to Molly Sievewright's Thinking Riding?

Not sure Its all about your position and being aware of how you ride/ sit etc afects (sp) the horse.

I went on the same clinic as Weezy , learnt a lot and whilst I don't follow it to the letter I certianly have more things I can try now.

I have read her books & applied it to my riding - great help - would love to learn more from her or instructors who teach in the same way as her
