Hi everyone, a few people on here have suggested Jo Cooper to me. Has anyone used her before and what are your thoughts please? xx:)

Hi I have had a couple of sessions with Jo. The first was a 15 minute session after a talk she did at riding club, then she did a group session at our yard and then a friend and I were part of a small group of guinea pigs for an equestrian specific weekend course she did. She is a lovely lovely lady and her methods really helped me as I was terrified first of hacking my horse and then riding her in the school where she became very spooky (I had had a near fatal accident previously on her). Summer 2011 I got back to hacking happily and with Jo's techniques and regular lessons she got better in the school.

Unfortunately being an extremely sharp and stubborn mare once she realised her original tactics were no longer scaring me she upped the anti and I just didn't have the strength to start all over again.

I still use the techniques on the odd occasions I get apprehensive on my new horse.

Really must get in touch with Jo as it's ages since i've spoken to her...

Highly recommended and I hope she helps you x

Excellent - I have used Jo several times and as the above post has mentioned , Jo is lovely, really understands how people feel. At the beginning I didnt even want to get my horse out of the field and now we are out hacking twice a week (when the weather allows!) schooling and cantering with so much more confidence . I had a session with her last week, hacked out on Sunday, it felt great. I was on 'cloud nine' when I returned back to the yard.
Would recommend 100%

Sounds great, do you have any ideas on price as I can't see anything about that on her website! I've got a problem with riding past other horses after badly breaking my leg not actually riding my horse as I am super confident on her so I don't know whether she could help me with this. Thanks xxx

She will be able to help you as my biggest fear with my mare was others setting her off. No idea on price I'm afraid because I never had an individual session x

I had a couple of phone calls with her, she really is fantastic how she goes about it. I used her to try and regain my confidence with life in general as well as the horse side of it. Sadly we lost contact and I keep meaning to contact her again.

Thanks, I just find it very hard to understand that she can simply help you over the phone? I'll see what my parents say but I'm not sure they'll agree to a couple of hundred pounds xx :)

It really does work :) Maybe give her a call first , (thats what I did) and go through your confidence issues with her , she can then explain the process. It was £145 and that includes as many follow up sessions that are needed. Worth every penny. Jo has helped me with other confidence issues (non horse related) that I have had as well.

she's fab, helped me a lot. A friend recommended her to me - my friend had had success with her as well.
I had a very serious accident with my previous horse, and once I was able to start riding again, I found that all my confidence had been squashed in that accident...to the extent that I was terrified of riding. The fear crept up on me, it was unexpected, and completely debilitating. I had panic attacks, and was frightened even on a plod. Jo spent a lot of time on the phone with me, using her techniques to drill down into the detail of the fear, in order to re-frame it, and to help me recognise exactly which bit (of the experience) was causing the problem, she uses NLP and EFT to release the fear related to each bit of the fear.

She's a great lady. If memory serves me correctly, it was £150, but included all the follow up calls required. It is a one-off flat fee. She really helped me a lot.
