Hi newbie here!
I am looking for someone local to me to back my 3yr old sec D, I have come across Lottie Crocker Priory stables near reading just wondered if any one has used her for breaking/backing and what their thoughts are on her?
thank you :o

Firstly Hi & Welcome :). When I was looking for a horse she was selling one on behalf of someone, they have an indoor school, XC course etc. I have seen her ride & she is very confident brave rider, but I haven't known anyone that has used her to break horses etc. I have been looking for someone to give me lessons on my yougnster & have be considering trying her. Sorry not much help.

Hi there, Lottie Crocker is local to me but sorry don't know anyone who could give you a reference about backing but she also runs the Brush and Bridle Tack shop in Beech Hill and always seems very pleasant. May be worth popping in there one day and having a chat.
I also back youngsters but may be a little tall for a Welsh section D but can also offer teaching from Beginners to Medium level dressage so pm me if you need any more info.
Good luck with your search

I've been in contact with Lottie Crocker about coming out to help me with my mare- unfortunatly said mare went lame, so she hasn't actually been out to meet us yet, but she certainly seems knowledgeable enough and I'd send my mare to her for a refresher course- if I could get the blommin' thing in a box over there!

hi thanks for replys,
I have tried to phone her, but got a guy who said she would phone me back.

Does she work in the tack shop all the time? Is the tack shop at the Priory stables?

Will try and phone again tomorrow.

She charges £50 week, grass livery to back/break a youngster, does this sound too cheap??Her website says this includes 5/7 sessions with horse per week.

I have never done this before and want to get it write. I was going to break back my self but dont have the time to be consistant enough, the flippin weather not helping either!
:)
