I am desperate for a small sample and cannot get even a whole bag of it anywhere round here, and those that supply it (Millbry Hill etc) won't send me a sample:( does anyone know where I could get a sample or is there a very kind HHOer out there who would shove a couple of spoonfuls in an envelope and send it to me please? I will happily pay for it/postage! And you would have the undying gratitude of my students who currently have to make do with a photo :o Many many thanks :)

I can send you some. I assume you mean whole small kernel barley? Not ears of.......

I have a few dustbin loads of it as I was going to find time to grow 'barley grass' for my horses in winter in my hydrponics growing environment/machine. However like all good plans what with working f/t, 3 dogs, cats horses, chickens........

so yes pm your address and I will send you a sample foc :)

Y&C thanks so much, I'll pm you now :D

No, we don't have any arable round here, it's mountains, bog and grassland for silage (there are a lot of cows :D). They feed the cows "meal" in the winter which is the most disgusting mix of things that look like they've been swept off the floor. I do have a sample of that! :( Hay and straw has to be imported from the south. My horse feed supplier stocks two varieties of cool mix and that's it! lol it's "like it or lump it" when I feed my horses :o
