Has anyone added on stables to an existing stable block?

Just wondering if anyone had added on stables to an existing stable block?

What was the approximate cost? Was it economical to do this or would it have been cheaper to start again from scratch?

Who did you use to do the stabling?

Any advice welcome

We haven't done this but we are having a block of wooden stables built atm and was told by the builder that if we ever want to extend they can just add to the existing ones. We would need to apply for planning permission but it would be physically possible.
