I'm thinking i would like to go out with them but just wondered what it was like and how the differnt lines work. I have a new horse who i'm not sure if has hunted before, he seems quite bold XC but on there website some hedges look quite big in the pictures and wondered if you can get round should we run into problems?

I think a friend of mine went out with them and apparently although they do finish off over some meaty hedges they start off at a easier height and make it clear to followers when they go onto the big stuff at the end so people have the option to drop out if they want.

Ive been out several times and my sister is one of the runners.

Some days are bigger than others. Best to ring Jane (details on their website) and ask about it. THere are some big hedges, but you can generally get round. Good ones to go on are Borde Hill, you can get round everything without jumping and they do the cross country courses at Borde Hill and Balcombe Place. The meets from the Kennels are ok - nothing too big, and Eastlands is another good one.

I always hear that the Kent & Surrey are faster and bigger than the Coakham - can anyone here comment on this?? I've never been out with the K&S but I'm also hoping to in the new year, they have quite a lot of meets near me, in fact I'm kinda thinking about doing their Crockham Hill meet on the 23rd... hmmmmm... :)

Ive never been out with the Coakham so cant judge. The kent and Surrey are big, but the bigger hedges you can normally get round. There are quite often some point to point horses out and they tend to go round.

Its a shame there meets were delayed because the Curtis Farm one before Xmas is a nice easy one as its a childrens meet. Not been to Crockham Hil so dont know it, sorry
