have just returned from a shopping trip in London. Walked round Harrods riding equipment section - beautiful brushes at £30 each, I'd want a set for that!

Had a look when I used to be in London area... got a polo mallet from there and it wasn't particularly better than any others I had... Also got a polo shirt there which I still have and it's lasted very well.

Every time I've ever been into the horse section of Harrods, there has been little there, however those brushes you are talking about, are probably similar to some I have, and I really do have to say they are worth every penny. They last forever and a day and your horse will be gleaming with them.

I went round with the children in the summer, and frankly was disappointed with the selection of stuff they had. I remember there used to be far more horsey stuff. However, their own brand saddle soap (well we had to come away with something

) is absolutely brilliant, far better than the usual ones I've used. We shall definitely be getting more of that.

I've bought a few whips there (presents) - they come in lovely whip-bags, which are ideal to keep the whip collection down the yard in

other than that - too wxpensive... Their jackets are lovely but you can get a made to measure in saville row for similar price ...

My dad who is completely unhorsey brought me a complete grooming kit from there fro my 14th birthday, was such a lovely gesture as he really never has much of a clue! Plus some of the brushes were absolutly lovely, and I still have them 6 years on.

I must echo this, they are worth every penny. I could only afford two - one was a £4 bargain mini dandy brush with the Harrods logo on the back

and the other a £20-something goat's hair finishing brush. I only use it on special occasions but it gives an astounding finish, you can see your reflection on her afterwards!

I bought a brush from Harrods when me and the OH were there for Olympia. We were with some VERY wealthy horsey people who are clients of his. I bought the brush for £15 and then found out that one of the people we were with is the owner of Jeffries Saddlery and they supply the said brush to them for a fraction of the price! Felt a bit daft then....
