It seems a bit early yet but my mare (who is a donkey 90% of the time and all out diva 10% of the time) has over the last week or so been vile! Again most of the time ok but stupid things which would never be an issue are suddenly a huge deal.
It took me 30 mins to catch her on the weekend (she thought it was more fun to practice her gallop!) and this morning I got a lot of attitude just trying to take her head collar off in the field to the point where I was hanging on to her whilst sliding in the mud!
This does happen but normally around April and usually just assume its a sugar rush from the new grass. Are anybody elses horses playing up already and if so do you do anything to take the edge off? Change feed/add a calmer? Shes currently being ridden 4 times a week and doesnt have anything heating in her feed!
