I bought Koko to showjump and he's brilliant at it and coming on nicely and he really enjoys it. He also has very good dressage so I like to do some of that aswell, I'm not to keen on xc though.

The other day I went to a polocrosse taster day and I absolutly loved it and I had so much fun and managed to borrow a raquet and ball off the club to practise with. Today Koko was brilliant at it he didn't bat an eyelid at the ball or raquet and we was having a blast just messing around and having some fun. I'm really considering making polocrosse my main discipline.

But how easy is it to change discpiplines? I'm really considering doing polocrosse as our main sport but that would mean I'd have to stop doing BS as we can't afford both memberships including pony club aswell. I'll still show jumo but not as competivly and I'll definatly carry on doing dressage as this will help his polocrosse.

But how easy is it to change? Is it hard do you miss doing previous things? When I was 15 I had to stop doing mounted games and I loved it so afterwards I had no idea what to do and I really miss mounted games, am I going to feel the same about stopping BS? Has anyone ever done something like this?

Hot chocolate for everyone :)

Yes I have, as I could only afford to do one discipline (Affiliated) at a time.

So, did BS for 18 months. Got as far as we could with that (not far!) and then joined BE. Competed 5 fun seasons with them and then joined BD for 6 months on a special offer. Now we're retired (as I'm skint and she's getting old!).....

But can look back on a bloomin great time.

So if you fancy giving Polo x a go, then do it. You can always go back to BS after, or just do ad hoc unaff SJing when you feel like it
