Has anyone ever given up a good job to become a groom / rider or work with horses?
I'm in a good job (well paid) office based but with a long commute, been here 10 years, it's pretty flexible ie I can come and go as I please and work from home if required no questions asked.
I can mange to keep 1 horse in part livery on this, I don't have the time or funds to keep a second horse
I really want to improve my riding and would love to have a job where it's more physical.
Has anyone given up such a job to work with horses? how did you cope? how did you manage to pay mortgage etc? did it feel a relief when you did it? did you have the support of another half?
I would love to give up a well paid job to improve my riding and have a more physical job but I think i'm quite risk adverse and the thought of doing this terrifies me.
