A company called Cobs 'n' Plods? They are based in Astley, nr. Manchester.

My reason for enquiring is that a friend at the yard is looking to purchase a new Horse from them. Good or bad i would appreciate your comments, please pm me if you like.

There have been posts about them on here (fairly recently) before and think opinions were very much mixed!!

If you search for them you should be able to find all the old ones?

One can only recommend that you contact trading standards and ask there opinion. I'm sure they would be able to give you a fairly accurate perspective!
