yes tried them on my pony a few years ago alng with the vacine, it was a trial, the second year was just the capsules, to be honet im not 100 per cent they did work, i had to carry on with the boet and the ointment on his sheath, was scared to death not to realy as he suffered quite badly. I never carried on with the trial the following year as he went out on loan. They kept on top of his creams and made sure he wore his boet and he was fine.
If id have kept him and was having problems keping it under controll i was going to try this product, its suposed to be quite good from what ive heard.. http://www.petdispensary.co.uk/shop...etwork=s&pm=&gclid=CJyvjb-P2K8CFWwntAodAh2rAQ
would be amazing if there was a cure for it. such a nasty condition, also very stressfull for owner. you just think of them 24/7. worrying how they are while your in work. i have mine rugged and wash every so few weeks and apply spray to naked area 2-4 times aday dependaing if i am working i do morning and evening if i'm of i try to do 3-4 times, if hes bad. this is only my second year with it. where do you go from here. i always planned to sell him, love him but i was never keeping him, was to sell on. but now i just feel that i cant as i would be afriad if some one that buys him will not look after him right. also to sell one with si must be so hard, i cant undersatnd people that sell them and dont tell the buyer, thats just evil and cruel to the animal. if i sold new owner would be well aware and i would want to see him looked after right. i havent tried since he got it last year as i am more interested in keeping him healthy and happy. but i know i cant keep him for ever, as i have others and he was always one i had planned to sell on, also he is so well bred and excellant conformation and manners to burn. he is a stallion. he seems quite happy at min rugged and all. so hoping he will be fine this year, but want to back him, so hope he will let me in summer, if not i will leave him till winter, if he is bad. any hints and tips.
please help us get a cure for this horrible conition.
anyway we can kill these midges, what good are they, mean wee b--tards. sorry just hate them
Yes I'm trying them on my mare at the moment and so far and everything crossed she seems fine, but she has her Boett rug and mask on, but have not seen any bites on her legs so far, still got her stabled at night at the moment but want to put her out in May. They are expensive but if they work, will be worth ever penny.
A mare I used to share was in the trial on these a couple of years ago and it did make a difference to her. She used to have completely bald patches through her mane and tail but this didn't happen whilst she was in the trial.
I used BioEos in the trial phase for one of mine who had perpetual urticaria.
I did notice an improvement, although it didn't suppress her allergy entirely.
(Although, to be fair, her allergy is so severe it nearly killed her, and she is now perpetually on corticosteroids to suppress it).
The trial data seemed to suggest that BioEos did work quite well, if I recall correctly.
