Not sure if thet are the same thing but I have some Puffa cool boots bought quite a few years ago. They have gel crystals inside and you chuck them in a bucket of cold water to swell them up and apply them. I like them and they fit well so I have travelled home in them after and event and they have not moved.
Similar to the Aerborne, they are boots you dunk in water and they go cold.
I used to use them when I was event grooming - have you found somewhere that sells them as I have been searching a while for some!
Yes, I have them! They work in exactly the same way and I am pleased with mine which I managed to get for £20 on ebay brand new, which beats the aerborn prices....

Premier Equine now sell what sounds the same thing.
i had the puffa ones years ago and they eventually broke, i dont think you can buy them nowadays, i have never found any
ditto dieseldog, the new PE catalouge has some hot/cool boots, dont know what they are like as they are a new product, ,maybe you can be product tester for us
THey look good value for money..... just bandage them on.... much cheaper, much better!!! i'll call PE and ask about them.
the other thing i thought was i could but some instant ice packs, wrap them in a tea town and he could have them on for 15 mins after going XC.... do you think this would work?
I recently bought two v large flexi ice packs (think they were called large ice mat) on the box from local homeware shop. They were plenty big enough to wrap all the way round my mares legs (and extend from knee to fetlock), and I used them after her event on Sat for 20 min (secured with a stretchy velcro wrap I got with some other stuff I bought a while ago). They didn't move at all (she was tied up in lorry with haynet though - not outside).
Certainly a cheaper option, though the premier equine boots look good too.
I had the puffa boots years ago, not that cold just soaking in water, really needed to freeze them for best results TBH. They have pretty much disintegrated now though.
