Has anyone got stables from FJ Lucas & Son??

We're in the process of getting a stable yard built at the moment. Had lots of quotes, obviously a massive variation in prices, from backyard ebay-types up to the likes of Scotts of Thrapston. I was at Royal Norfolk yesterday and came across these chaps, and the stables on display looked very nice - the prices seemed very reasonable and they had a massive photo album of lovely stables/happy customers....

I just wondered if anyone on here has stables from them, and whether they'd recommend them? The only thing I am a bit worried about is their lack of any sort of warranty... Most other companies seem to offer something, but they offer nothing in writing, although were happy enough to say "if anything goes wrong we will come and see you".

Lovely people, family run business.

We got our stables (block of 3) put up by them 25 years ago and they are still going strong (only thing we have done is timber treating and replacement roof covering).

Would recommend them to anyone, always stop and say hello to them at the Royal Norfolk when we see them.

I have no doubt if you were in the unlikely situation of having an issue they genuinely would come down to see you and sort it out.

We had stables from them at our old property (before moving here) no problems at all with them (and if I remember correctly, they were either ex-display ones or something like that) but I know we got them a lot cheaper than the original price. Couldn't fault them and were very nice to talk to.

We've had two lots from them and they're superb. They've lasted well and still look good and fully waterproof after quite a few yrs. I had a good experience with them. I love my stables, even if I hardly use them (overnight for horsey) - mostly used as hay / feed/ tack room and one has ducks and geese in - their happy too!
