Just wondering if anyone here has bought one of Jason Webbs stock saddles, synthetic or deluxe one, and how they got on with it. They certainly look very secure and comfy.
He had them at Hickstead last weekend for sale at his trade stand, I saw from the pictures taken there. I am sending my youngster to him next year and plan to buy one, (I am going to need al the help I can get looking at the way my new horse canters and has a hoolie round the field!)
Anyone got any recommendations for other stock saddles or even Western?

I use stock saddles, I would guess that the ones from Jason are pretty good- he knows what he's talking about. I have a Glenn's one from Zimbabwe (v old) which I adore. You can get them second hand if you're looking for one cheapish and they never seem to break! Mine has been rolled in several times.....

I'd recommend a stock saddle or western without the horn for something you think you might fall off....

Great pics! who is that riding? did he stay on?

I am not sure about the saddlesbut Jason Webb is great, he sorted out one of my horses! :)

Hahaa, thanks! It's Neil Smith in Buckinghamshire, he trains a lot of horses. He did stay on yes, barely moved despite having no stirrups! I like to think it was partly helped by my stock saddle ;)

Just realised that the first pics are backwards, looks better if you scroll up the way!

I used one once. VERY heavy and uncomfortable for my horse. I loved sitting in it, but it as not suitable for my horse at all.

I have one of his synthetic ones - in fact that was my black one on display at Hickstead.

I love it. Gives me confidence to do so much I wouldn't even try in an English saddle.

Just looked at this thread and found that I did actually get some replies. [deleted user] - looks like you and me will be the only ones then!! Its the synthetic one I will be getting. Did you have Jason back your horse too?
