Has anyone had an experience of Duckhurst

Yes, bought a horse from them and they are very honest and let you try the horses as many times as you like with no pressure.

Duckhurst the yard ie. Dave and Sue (not the auction or any of the liveries!)

I've also bought from there before, very nice straightforward people

If you have anything specific you need to know make sure you ask before you go, as they are honest and experienced enough to give you a straight answer and it may save you a trip

If you want the horse schooled ask for Bed Dalten, he rides at Duckhurst and is really great with showjumpers. They hold a few shows which help get the horses spotted, but also have a lot of horses from Ireland and rent to dealers, so its a pretty busy place.

What Ever you do.... Don’t touch these people... i am having so much trouble with these people....
I bought a horse last year, whilst seeing him at duckhurst he was excellent but got him back to my yard and wasn’t able to ride him. A week later i broke my wrist and was out of action for 5 months, during this time he was still exercised and still wanted him, as i put it down to him being young but then 5 months later tried to get on again , came off and re-broke my wrist. And he won’t let anyone ride him.... I put it down to a couple of things things he was drugged to hell or it wasn’t the horse that I looked at or he was so week from the trip from Ireland and being so underweight that they have no energy to be naughty and now im getting nowhere with dave or sue at duckhurst.. is all i want is an exchange as i will never get what i paid for him the horse they sold me is not fit for purpose as he is not rideable, i have had a meeting with them, one moment sue says yes we will exchange and then Dave says no . don’t make the same mistake as me....
