This foal was born normally, and between the age of 4-8weeks she developed this ballerina pose. I had conflicting advice from people around me at the time, the farrier told me to put the b***er down, the vets advised a bilateral inferior check ligament desmotomy. Needless to say I chose the operation and was given a 35% success rate.

Thankfully all went well she had the op at 9 weeks and ended up being weaned at 12 weeks to slow her growth(Horrendous!) and has had pnemonia (sp) during her first winter and various infections that took ages to clear up.

Now looking at her in the field she is now a healthy 2yo I am very lucky. I am thinking of her future and my reason for this post is to see if anyone else has experienced this, and whether her troubles as a baby will effect her potential fully grown.
